Culinary ProgramsRaleigh-Durham is centrally located in North Carolina's "Research Triangle," with a population of over 1.6 million people. A large university community and many high-tech companies call this region home, and residents enjoy film festivals, college sports and other cultural attractions. Culinary Arts
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Arts Management
In the Culinary Arts Management program, you’ll focus on what it takes to manage a kitchen, restaurant, or catering operation. You’ll study communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.
